Terms of service
Last updated: October 2026
These terms are a contract between you and Ciel Ventured Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13590557), which operates FRCS Plast Part A at frcsplast.app. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
FRCS Plast Part A is an online revision platform for candidates preparing for the FRCS (Plast) Section 1 (Part A) examination: a question bank, mock examinations, daily micro-learning, revision notes and diagrams, and performance analytics. It is an educational aid only — see our medical disclaimer. We are independent of, and not endorsed by, the JCIE or any Royal College.
2. Accounts
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping that sign-in secure. Accounts are personal and may not be shared. You must be at least 18.
3. Free access and paid plans
- A free account gives access to a fixed sample of the question bank, the Daily Five and core analytics. We may change what the free tier includes.
- Paid plans (“Essentials” and “Fellowship”) unlock the features shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.
- Monthly plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage billing; access continues to the end of the period already paid for and no further payment is taken.
- 3-month and 6-month blocks are one-off purchases that do not renew. Access runs from the date of purchase (or, if you already have an active block of the same plan, from the end of that block).
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice.
4. Cancellation and refunds
Because the service is digital content delivered immediately, by purchasing you ask us to start providing it straight away and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 once access has begun. Even so, if you contact us through our contact form within 14 days of a purchase and have attempted fewer than 20 questions in that time, we will refund you in full. Outside that, refunds are at our discretion except where the law requires one (for example if the service is faulty and we cannot fix it). Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
5. Acceptable use
The question bank, explanations, notes, diagrams and software are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights owned by us or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal revision only. You may not copy, scrape, download in bulk, publish, resell or redistribute any content, share your account, circumvent access controls, or use the service to build a competing product. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change or retire content and features. If we permanently withdraw a paid feature you have paid for, we will offer a proportionate refund.
7. Liability
The service is provided for education. We do not guarantee any examination result, and you remain responsible for your own clinical practice. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
9. General
We may update these terms; if a change materially affects you we will give notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there). Questions: our contact form.
